CVA ACS Innovation Series Harvest Results Show Profitable Yield Gains Despite Tight Margins
Dec 17, 2025
Welcome to the 2025 Central Valley Ag ACS Innovation Series Review book. In keeping up with Constant Innovation - one of the core values at Central Valley Ag - we hope that you find this book to be a valuable resource in your decision-making process. The insights in this book are derived from the ACS Innovation Site in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska as well as the Answer Plot sites in Belleville, Kansas, Norfolk, Nebraska, and Sheldon, Iowa that we share with Winfield United. We also had several on-farm trials across CVA’s territory. These are the results.
The Central Valley Ag (CVA) ACS Innovation Series Harvest data developed results for growers to build steady, long-term improvement. Throughout the 2025 growing season the CVA agronomy team showed strong yield results for both corn and soybeans. Even with low corn and soybean prices and higher fertility costs, it becomes possible to still be profitable in yield increases while still maintaining soil fertility levels.
CVA Elite PHP92 continues to offer consistent abiotic stress mitigation from increase corn and soybeans. The higher concentrated formulation maintains dependable results seen with CVA Elite PHP while giving growers a lower use rate. Among the use of these products, the CVA agronomy team gathered more data during the growing season to strengthen the support for and greater yields.
Humic and fulvic acids in dry broadcast, in furrow, and y-drop applications performed well again this year. These products continue to show stable, reliable improvements in nutrient used efficiency and availability. This continues to by helping growers protect both increasing yield and profit.
In the fungicide trials at the Clarkson, Neb. site delivered positive responds even with lower disease pressure. At Beaver Crossing, Neb., the High Yield Challenge corn trials showed clear advantages to higher rate and sequential fungicide applications. This also includes less disease pressure, better overall plant health, and improved standability at harvest.
Reaching more than 300 bushels of corn per acre and over 100 bushels of soybeans per acre remains a long-term goal. In the second year of the High Yield Challenge, we have not met the benchmark yet. Each region has different product combinations and timings to produce high yields profitably. We will continue to work towards product synergies with plans to take yields higher, sustainably.
CVA is encouraged with several newer biological products that showed strong potential throughout the year. With continuous testing with the bio stimulants, bio fertilizer, and bio pesticides to ensures CVA can bring growers options that are consistent before being widely adopted.
All trials used the spring of 2025 crop insurance prices of $4.70 per bushels for corn and $10.54 per bushel for soybeans was used for calculating revenue changes and net returns.
