Steffen has served CVA since 2017, most recently as Corporate Controller. In this role, he played a vital role in leading the financial strategy for CVA's grain and feed divisions, building strong internal processes, and helping the cooperative navigate a dynamic marketplace. His efforts have driven efficiencies and delivered valuable insights to help guide CVA's financial decisions.

"Ryan's leadership and deep financial expertise have made a significant impact on CVA's success," said Carl Dickinson, President/CEO of CVA. "His understanding of the cooperative model, commitment to our member-owners and and vision for financial stewardship make him a natural fit for this role."

Raised on a diversified family farm in southwest Minnesota, Steffen developed a lifelong connection to agriculture. He holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting Management from the University of St. Thomas, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Concordia University, St. Paul.

"It's a privilege to serve our member-owners of CVA and to support the work of our team as we plan for the future. I believe strongly in the cooperative system and the role it plays in strengthening rural communities," said Steffen. "I'm excited to help steward CVA's financial health in a way that drives long-term success for our producers."

Ryan lives in Seward, Nebraska, with his wife Katherine and their two children, Naomi and Barry.
