"The Board of Directors and Management Team spent three days in mid January in Omaha conducting our annual Planning Retreat. It was time well spent together discussing a variety of topics all agricultural related. We looked at the worldwide perspective of Ag and considered the fact that the U.S. Farmer will continue to be called upon to feed the world population. The need for food will continue to rise as the world population grows. Coupled with the fact that as the world population’s income rises the first thing they purchase is more food and more meat. This growth trend for food will continue and CVA and it’s customers must be positioned to grow, handle and deliver."

Invitations, board election information, and ballots were mailed to the membership. Please review this information and if you haven’t voted, please get your vote in today! "The locusts have been singing for quite some time and hopefully that nine weeks to frost saying does not hold true this year. It’s hard to believe that school has already started. This summer has really gone by fast! I hope that each of you have taken some time to enjoy it with family and friends. For CVA, August 31st marked the close of another year. It was certainly one like we have never experienced before and one that I don’t care to experience again. This has truly been one of those years that will go down in the record books as being one of the most challenging that anyone....."
"The Tough Economic Times facing the world are working its way into Agriculture, Central Valley Ag and our Member-Owners. CVA is not immune to these tough times and our 2009 year looks to be a tough one. Of course our year does not end until August 31st and many things can happen by then. We recognize the severity of the overall economy and feel it is good business to evaluate our position and make adjustments as needed for our patrons....."
